Music Monday heats up with @RealMeatLoaf

I tried hard to find a song about the cold, ice or snow. Basically, anything that could be associated with winter.

Though these songs do exist, I wasn’t in the mood for chilly tunes. Instead, I’m thinking about warmth and sun. For this reason, I’ll feature hot-themed songs until the weather warms up again. The connections may be convoluted, but then … so is my thought process of late.

In that vein, enjoy “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad” from Meat Loaf. It’s from his Bat Out of Hell album, and hell is hot, right? 😉

If you’re a Meat Loaf fan, he released a new album a few months ago called Braver Than We Are, available now.

Stay warm and have a great week,

  1. I haven’t heard this song in years – it made me laugh and brought back fuzzy, warm memories!

I’m not proud to admit it but I had TWO Bat out of Hell albums. The first one warped when I left it in a hot car so I just had to buy another. But really you can never have too much Meat Loaf. Having just driven through blizzards from Sudbury last week I was close to “crying icicles” wondering why I’m not someplace warm (Bali, maybe?)

  3. And at least the food meat loaf feels relatively nourishing and warms you up.

I doubt there’ll ever be a singer named Poutine; more’s the pity.

  4. Haha, good one William. Yeah, I’m going to enjoy making obscure connections to warmth and heat in the coming weeks with my song choices. At least the thought process should get the wood burning in my brain 😉

Poutine would NOT make a good singer name. 😀
