I love the blues, and the majority of blues artists I listen to are male, however, one of my favorite blues singers is actually female—Fabulous Femme Bonnie Raitt.
She has a beautiful, clean voice and is also an incredible slide player. I’ve seen her in concert several times, and she’s played with some of the greats: Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal, John Lee Hooker, to name a few.
Here she is performing “Something to Talk About” written by Canadian singer-songwriter Shirley Eikhard.
Enjoy the beauty of a woman who makes love to a guitar without putting on the “over-the-top” guitar face.
